
Medical Assistant (Outpatient)

- Greet and welcome patients in a warm and friendly manner upon their arrival at the outpatient clinic.
- Assist patients with check-in process, including verifying personal and insurance information and collecting necessary forms.
- Escort patients to exam rooms and assist with any necessary preparations for their appointment.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and efficiently.
- Update and maintain patient medical records, ensuring all information is current and accurate.
- Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare provider.
- Assist healthcare provider with examinations and procedures, providing necessary equipment and supplies.
- Monitor and document patient's response to treatment and report any concerns or changes to the healthcare provider.
- Educate patients on proper self-care and medication administration, as well as follow-up care instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, sterilizing equipment and disposing of medical waste properly.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
- Collaborate with other medical assistants and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Keep up-to-date with medical knowledge and procedures, attending trainings and workshops as necessary.
- Adhere to all safety and confidentiality protocols, protecting patient privacy and ensuring a safe environment for all.
- Embody the mission, vision, and values of AdventHealth, consistently providing exceptional care and service to patients and their families.
Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Or Registered Medical Assistant (Rma) Credentials.
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience Working In An Outpatient Medical Setting.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Equipment Commonly Used In Outpatient Clinics.
Familiarity With Electronic Health Records (Ehr) Systems, Such As Epic, For Documentation And Charting.
Ability To Multitask And Prioritize In A Fast-Paced Environment While Maintaining Attention To Detail And Accuracy.
