
Medical Assistant (Outpatient), Full-Time Days

- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner, reflecting the mission and values of AdventHealth.
- Assist with patient check-in, including verifying personal and insurance information, and collecting any necessary co-pays or payments.
- Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for their appointments, including taking vital signs and updating medical history.
- Assist healthcare providers with procedures and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documenting patient visits, test results, and medications.
- Monitor and maintain medical supplies and equipment, ensuring they are properly stocked and functioning.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and other healthcare team members to ensure smooth and efficient patient care.
- Provide patient education and instruction on medication, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
- Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in team meetings and trainings to enhance knowledge and skills in medical assisting.
- Act as a positive and professional representative of AdventHealth, promoting a culture of compassion and excellence in patient care.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare facilities to coordinate patient care as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all aspects of job responsibilities.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Basic Clinical Procedures
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In An Outpatient Setting
Current Medical Assistant Certification (Cma, Rma, Ncma)
