- Greet and welcome patients and visitors to AdventHealth in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist patients with check-in and registration processes, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
- Collect and verify patient information, including medical history and insurance details.
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure they are stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Escort patients to exam rooms and assist healthcare providers with examinations and procedures.
- Perform vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and accurately record results in patient's chart.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Assist with basic laboratory procedures, such as collecting and preparing specimens for testing.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on procedures, medications, and post-treatment care instructions.
- Respond to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure efficient and timely service.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following infection control and safety protocols.
- Attend trainings and stay updated on industry changes and best practices in medical assisting.

Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Completed A Formal Training Program In Medical Assisting From An Accredited Institution.
Certification As A Medical Assistant: Possession Of A Valid Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt) Is Preferred.
Strong Clinical Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Clinical Skills To Assist Healthcare Professionals In Various Medical Procedures, Such As Administering Medications, Taking Vital Signs, And Performing Basic Lab Tests.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Medical Assistants Are Often The First Point Of Contact For Patients, So The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Interact With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Knowledge Of Electronic Health Records (Ehr) Systems: Adventhealth Uses Electronic Health Records For Patient Data Management, So The Candidate Should Have Experience And Proficiency In Using Ehr Systems To Update And Maintain Patient Records Accurately.
