- Oversee the daily operations of the Shared Services HIM department, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Manage a team of HIM professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high-quality work and professional growth.
- Develop and implement processes to maintain the accuracy and integrity of health information, including data entry, coding, and record keeping.
- Monitor and report on department performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards related to HIM, including HIPAA and other privacy laws.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams within AdventHealth to optimize processes and improve patient care outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date on industry changes and best practices in HIM, and integrate them into department policies and procedures.
- Provide training and education to staff on HIM principles, best practices, and new technologies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as vendors and healthcare organizations, to support HIM operations.
- Participate in budget planning and management for the Shared Services HIM department.
- Serve as a liaison between the department and other AdventHealth facilities, promoting communication and collaboration.
- Maintain a positive and professional work environment, fostering teamwork and employee engagement.
- Handle any escalated issues or concerns related to HIM processes or staff members in a timely and effective manner.
Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field: A Manager, Shared Services Him At Adventhealth Is Expected To Have A Strong Educational Background In Health Information Management Or A Related Field. This Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Effectively Manage The Shared Services Department.
At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Information Management: Adventhealth Requires A Manager, Shared Services Him To Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Information Management. This Ensures That The Individual Has A Strong Understanding Of The Industry And Can Effectively Lead A Team.
