Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Manager, RN for our NICU/PEDS unit at AdventHealth. This position requires a nursing professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional care to our youngest patients and their families. As the Manager, RN, you will oversee a team of nurses and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care. If you have a minimum of 3 years of experience in NICU/PEDS and hold a current RN license, we invite you to join our dynamic and supportive team.

  1. Oversee the daily operations of the NICU/PEDS unit, including scheduling, staffing, and budgeting.
  2. Lead and manage a team of nurses, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
  3. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement evidence-based care plans for patients.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the unit, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  5. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, as well as hospital policies and procedures.
  6. Maintain a safe and positive work environment for staff, promoting teamwork and open communication.
  7. Provide education and training opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with patients and their families, addressing any concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the care provided.
  9. Stay updated on advancements in NICU/PEDS nursing and incorporate best practices into the unit's policies and procedures.
  10. Adhere to the organization's mission, vision, and values, promoting a culture of compassion, respect, and excellence in patient care.
  11. Handle any conflicts or issues that may arise within the unit, utilizing effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
  12. Ensure all necessary supplies, equipment, and medications are available and maintained for the unit.
  13. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and unit operations.
  14. Participate in hospital committees and meetings as required.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve the overall quality of care delivered by the NICU/PEDS unit.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current Rn License In The State Of Employment.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Nicu/Peds Nursing.

  • Previous Experience In A Leadership Or Management Role, With Demonstrated Skills In Team Building, Conflict Resolution, And Decision Making.

  • Knowledge Of Current Best Practices And Evidence-Based Guidelines In Nicu/Peds Care, As Well As Familiarity With Relevant Regulations And Standards.
