
Manager, RN - NICU/PEDS
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Manager, RN for our NICU/PEDS unit at AdventHealth. This position requires a nursing professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional care to our youngest patients and their families. As the Manager, RN, you will oversee a team of nurses and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care. If you have a minimum of 3 years of experience in NICU/PEDS and hold a current RN license, we invite you to join our dynamic and supportive team.
- Oversee the daily operations of the NICU/PEDS unit, including scheduling, staffing, and budgeting.
- Lead and manage a team of nurses, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement evidence-based care plans for patients.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the unit, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, as well as hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe and positive work environment for staff, promoting teamwork and open communication.
- Provide education and training opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Develop and maintain relationships with patients and their families, addressing any concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the care provided.
- Stay updated on advancements in NICU/PEDS nursing and incorporate best practices into the unit's policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the organization's mission, vision, and values, promoting a culture of compassion, respect, and excellence in patient care.
- Handle any conflicts or issues that may arise within the unit, utilizing effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Ensure all necessary supplies, equipment, and medications are available and maintained for the unit.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and unit operations.
- Participate in hospital committees and meetings as required.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the overall quality of care delivered by the NICU/PEDS unit.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.
Current Rn License In The State Of Employment.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Nicu/Peds Nursing.
Previous Experience In A Leadership Or Management Role, With Demonstrated Skills In Team Building, Conflict Resolution, And Decision Making.
Knowledge Of Current Best Practices And Evidence-Based Guidelines In Nicu/Peds Care, As Well As Familiarity With Relevant Regulations And Standards.
