- Oversee the daily operations of the Med/Surg unit at AdventHealth Montebello site.
- Provide leadership and direction to a team of RNs, ensuring quality patient care and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement strategies for improving patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Manage staffing levels and schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed to maintain a high standard of care.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and staff to promote a positive and supportive work environment.
- Facilitate ongoing education and professional development opportunities for staff.
- Participate in budget planning and resource allocation for the unit.
- Act as a role model for patient-centered care and uphold the organization's values and mission.
- Collaborate with other managers and leaders within the organization to promote interdisciplinary teamwork and communication.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to Med/Surg nursing and implement changes as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by upper management.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Manager, Rn In Med/Surg At Adventhealth Must Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution. This Degree Provides Essential Knowledge And Skills In Clinical Nursing, Leadership, And Management.
Rn Licensure: The Candidate Must Hold A Current And Valid Rn License In The State Where The Ahwm Montebello Site Is Located. This Is A Non-Negotiable Requirement To Ensure That The Individual Is Qualified And Authorized To Practice Nursing In The State.
Previous Management Experience: As A Manager, Rn At Adventhealth, The Candidate Must Have Previous Experience In A Leadership Or Management Role, Preferably In A Med/Surg Setting. This Experience Demonstrates The Ability To Effectively Lead And Manage A Team Of Nurses And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Manager, Rn Must Possess Excellent Communication Skills In Order To Effectively Communicate With Staff, Patients, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Must Also Have Strong Interpersonal Skills To Build And Maintain Positive Relationships With Team Members And Other Stakeholders.
Flexibility And Availability For Variable Shifts: The Ahwm Montebello Site Operates On A Variable Shift Schedule, And The Manager, Rn Must Be Flexible And Available To Work Different Shifts As Needed. This Ensures Optimal Staffing And Patient Care Coverage At All Times.
