
Manager, Pharmacy (Outpatient)

- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Outpatient Pharmacy department at AdventHealth.
- Lead and supervise a team of pharmacists and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the overall performance of the department, including streamlining processes and increasing efficiency.
- Maintain a safe and compliant working environment, ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations and laws.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure the proper and timely delivery of medication services to patients.
- Evaluate and update department policies and procedures, keeping up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and monitoring of medication and supplies.
- Identify and resolve any issues or concerns related to medication services, patient care, or staff performance.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, respect, and open communication.
- Participate in departmental and organizational meetings, providing updates and recommendations to support the overall goals and mission of AdventHealth.
- Stay informed about new developments and advancements in the pharmacy field, and incorporate relevant changes into the department's practices and procedures.
- Serve as a role model for leadership and professionalism, reflecting AdventHealth's values and commitment to compassionate, whole-person care.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the organization's leadership team.
Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or Related Field: A Manager, Pharmacy (Outpatient) Should Have A Strong Educational Background In Pharmacy Or A Related Field To Have A Thorough Understanding Of Pharmaceuticals And Their Effects.
Active Pharmacy License: A Valid And Active Pharmacy License Is Essential For A Manager, Pharmacy (Outpatient) To Legally Oversee The Operations Of The Outpatient Pharmacy And To Ensure Compliance With All State And Federal Regulations.
Previous Management Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Management Role Within A Pharmacy Setting. This Will Demonstrate Their Ability To Lead A Team And Handle Complex Operations.
Knowledge Of Outpatient Pharmacy Operations: The Manager, Pharmacy (Outpatient) Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Day-To-Day Operations Of An Outpatient Pharmacy, Including Inventory Management, Medication Dispensing, And Customer Service.
Strong Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Manager, Strong Communication And Leadership Skills Are Crucial For Effectively Managing A Team, Collaborating With Other Departments, And Building Relationships With Patients And Healthcare Providers.
