We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Lead Nutrition Assistant. As the Lead Nutrition Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission by providing superior dietary services to our patients and ensuring their nutritional needs are met.   1. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families by warmly welcoming them to AdventHealth and ensuring their dietary needs are met.
  2. Oversee a team of nutrition assistants and provide guidance and support in their daily responsibilities.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized nutrition plans for patients based on their medical conditions and dietary restrictions.
  4. Monitor and maintain inventory of dietary supplies and equipment to ensure availability and proper usage.
  5. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  6. Educate patients and their families on the importance of proper nutrition and provide resources to promote healthy eating habits.
  7. Maintain accurate records of patient dietary preferences, allergies, and restrictions.
  8. Coordinate with food service staff to ensure meals are prepared and served according to dietary plans.
  9. Handle any dietary concerns or complaints from patients and address them in a timely and professional manner.
  10. Stay up-to-date on the latest nutrition research and trends to continuously improve the dietary services provided at AdventHealth.
  11. Assist in training and onboarding new nutrition assistants.
  12. Participate in meetings and committees to contribute ideas and suggestions for improving patient satisfaction and overall health and wellness.
  13. Adhere to all AdventHealth policies and procedures related to patient confidentiality and privacy.
  14. Represent AdventHealth with professionalism and integrity, maintaining a positive and welcoming attitude towards all patients, visitors, and team members.
  15. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Nutrition Services Manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Or Community Nutrition Setting.

  • Strong Leadership And Organizational Skills.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Current Nutrition Guidelines, Practices, And Regulations.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Interact Effectively With Patients, Team Members, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
