In this role, you will play a crucial role in optimizing healthcare outcomes by ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation practices. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and leadership skills, along with a deep understanding of clinical coding and billing regulations.   1. Lead and mentor a team of clinical documentation integrity specialists to ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation practices.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
  3. Oversee the review and analysis of medical records to identify areas for improvement and ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare providers to educate and train on documentation best practices and regulatory requirements.
  5. Monitor and track documentation and coding trends to identify potential areas of risk and develop strategies for improvement.
  6. Provide support and guidance to the team in resolving complex documentation and coding issues.
  7. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with documentation standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry changes and regulations related to clinical documentation and coding.
  9. Collaborate with other departments and leadership to drive initiatives for improving healthcare outcomes and revenue integrity.
  10. Act as a liaison between the clinical documentation team and other departments to facilitate efficient and effective communication.
  11. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as coding auditors and consultants, to support documentation and coding accuracy.
  12. Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for new hires and ongoing education for the clinical documentation team.
  13. Regularly report on key performance indicators and provide recommendations for process improvement.
  14. Serve as a subject matter expert on clinical documentation and coding issues and provide guidance to other departments as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Healthcare Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Clinical Documentation Integrity, Preferably In A Leadership Role.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Coding And Billing Guidelines, Including Icd-10-Cm And Pcs.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Train And Educate Others On Clinical Documentation Best Practices.

  • Familiarity With Electronic Health Record Systems And Proficiency In Microsoft Office.
