HIM Technician

1. Manage and maintain patient health information for the organization.
2. Utilize electronic health record systems to accurately enter and update patient data.
3. Ensure all patient health information is kept confidential and in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
4. Maintain organization and accuracy of patient records, including organizing and filing physical documents.
5. Use strong understanding of medical terminology to accurately enter and update patient information.
6. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and up-to-date patient records.
7. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure timely and accurate retrieval of patient information.
8. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices related to health information management.
9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of patient records.
10. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals regarding health information inquiries.
11. Support and contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
12. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
