  1. Perform diagnostic procedures: The Endoscopy Technician will be responsible for performing various diagnostic procedures, such as colonoscopies and upper endoscopies, under the supervision of a physician.
  2. Provide support to the Endoscopy team: This role will involve supporting the Endoscopy team by preparing equipment, assisting with procedures, and ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
  3. Maintain equipment and supplies: The Endoscopy Technician will be responsible for maintaining and cleaning all equipment used during procedures and ensuring an adequate supply of necessary materials.
  4. Ensure patient comfort and safety: The Endoscopy Technician will be responsible for ensuring the comfort and safety of patients during procedures, including monitoring vital signs and responding to any patient concerns.
  5. Communicate effectively: Strong communication skills are essential in this role to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, both verbally and in writing.
  6. Follow safety protocols: Adhering to safety protocols and infection control measures is crucial in this role to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  7. Document patient information: The Endoscopy Technician will be responsible for accurately documenting patient information, including procedure details and any observed reactions or complications.
  8. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team: This role will involve collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, physicians, and technicians, to ensure seamless patient care.
  9. Maintain confidentiality: The Endoscopy Technician will be expected to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification In Endoscopy Technology: A Qualified Endoscopy Technician At Adventhealth Should Possess A Certification In Endoscopy Technology From An Accredited Program.

  • Knowledge Of Gastrointestinal Procedures: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding And Knowledge Of Gastrointestinal Procedures And Equipment Used In Endoscopic Procedures.

  • Experience In Endoscopy: Prior Experience Working As An Endoscopy Technician Is Preferred. Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For An Endoscopy Technician At Adventhealth. They Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Attention To Detail: Endoscopic Procedures Require A High Level Of Precision And Attention To Detail. A Qualified Candidate Should Possess Excellent Hand-Eye Coordination And Be Able To Work With Delicate Instruments.
