As an Endoscopy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting with endoscopic procedures, ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients.   1. Assist with endoscopic procedures, including but not limited to setting up equipment, preparing patients, and monitoring their vitals.
  2. Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control procedures and properly disposing of medical waste.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members to ensure a positive patient experience.
  4. Monitor patients' condition during procedures and promptly report any changes or concerns to the physician.
  5. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory guidelines, to ensure patient safety and compliance.
  6. Keep accurate records of procedures, equipment used, and patient information for documentation and billing purposes.
  7. Assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of endoscopic equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  8. Provide emotional support to patients before, during, and after procedures to ease their anxiety and promote a comfortable experience.
  9. Participate in training and educational programs to stay updated on the latest endoscopy techniques and procedures.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients and promote a multidisciplinary approach.
  11. Follow strict confidentiality protocols to protect patient privacy and sensitive medical information.
  12. Adhere to strict safety standards and protocols to prevent workplace injuries and ensure a safe working environment.
  13. Act as a patient advocate by addressing any concerns or questions they may have and ensuring their needs are met.
  14. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times, reflecting the mission and values of AdventHealth.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification As An Endoscopy Technician Through A Recognized Program Or Agency.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working In An Endoscopy Lab Or Related Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Endoscopy Equipment, Procedures, And Safety Protocols.

  • Ability To Multitask And Prioritize In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Interacting With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Other Team Members.
