- Assist with endoscopic procedures, including but not limited to setting up equipment, preparing patients, and monitoring their vitals.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control procedures and properly disposing of medical waste.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Monitor patients' condition during procedures and promptly report any changes or concerns to the physician.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory guidelines, to ensure patient safety and compliance.
- Keep accurate records of procedures, equipment used, and patient information for documentation and billing purposes.
- Assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of endoscopic equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Provide emotional support to patients before, during, and after procedures to ease their anxiety and promote a comfortable experience.
- Participate in training and educational programs to stay updated on the latest endoscopy techniques and procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients and promote a multidisciplinary approach.
- Follow strict confidentiality protocols to protect patient privacy and sensitive medical information.
- Adhere to strict safety standards and protocols to prevent workplace injuries and ensure a safe working environment.
- Act as a patient advocate by addressing any concerns or questions they may have and ensuring their needs are met.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times, reflecting the mission and values of AdventHealth.
Certification As An Endoscopy Technician Through A Recognized Program Or Agency.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working In An Endoscopy Lab Or Related Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Endoscopy Equipment, Procedures, And Safety Protocols.
Ability To Multitask And Prioritize In A Fast-Paced Environment.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Interacting With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Other Team Members.
