  1. Respond to medical emergencies promptly and provide immediate care to patients in need.
  2. Assess and prioritize patient needs to determine appropriate treatment and transport.
  3. Administer basic life support procedures and interventions as needed.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and response.
  5. Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals and emergency response teams.
  6. Continuously monitor and reassess patient condition during transportation and provide updates to receiving facility.
  7. Adhere to all protocols, policies, and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  8. Ensure proper maintenance and restocking of emergency medical equipment and supplies.
  9. Remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations and provide compassionate care to patients and their families.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  11. Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and quality care at all times.
  12. Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to provide exceptional and timely care.
  13. Represent AdventHealth in a positive and professional manner at all times.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow all HIPAA guidelines.
  15. Participate in community outreach and education programs to promote emergency medical services and raise awareness of health and safety.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Emt Certification: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Certification As An Emergency Medical Technician From An Accredited Institution.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: Adventhealth Requires All Emts To Have A Current Bls Certification, Which Includes Training In Cpr And Aed Usage.

  • Experience In Emergency Medical Services: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience Working In The Emergency Medical Services Field, Either In A Hospital Or Pre-Hospital Setting.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As Emergency Situations Can Be Chaotic, It Is Essential For Emts To Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Effectively With Patients, Colleagues, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Physical Fitness And Stamina: The Job Of An Emt Can Be Physically Demanding, Requiring The Ability To Lift And Maneuver Patients, Work In Various Weather Conditions, And Remain On Their Feet For Extended Periods Of Time. Candidates Must Be Able To Meet These Physical Requirements.
