1. Oversee all aspects of the surgical services department, including managing staff, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
2. Develop and maintain a high-performing team by recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating staff members.
3. Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
4. Collaborate with other department leaders to ensure seamless integration of surgical services with other hospital operations.
5. Ensure the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care to patients by maintaining a patient-centered approach and upholding our mission and values.
6. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development by providing ongoing education and training opportunities for staff.
7. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing infection control protocols and promoting a culture of safety.
8. Manage departmental budget and resources effectively to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
9. Serve as a liaison between the surgical services department and other hospital departments to promote effective communication and collaboration.
10. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in surgical services and make recommendations for improvements and innovations.
11. Represent the surgical services department in meetings with other hospital leaders and external stakeholders.
12. Lead by example and serve as a mentor and role model for staff, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
13. Maintain a strong understanding of faith-based healthcare principles and incorporate them into daily operations and decision-making processes.
14. Uphold and promote the AdventHealth mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ through compassionate, whole-person care.
