- Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures: Perform CT, X-Ray, and MRI scans on patients according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Interpret imaging results: Analyze and interpret images to identify abnormalities or potential health issues and communicate findings to physicians.
- Maintain equipment: Ensure proper functioning and cleanliness of imaging equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Follow safety protocols: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to minimize potential risks for both patients and staff.
- Provide compassionate care: Maintain a high level of empathy and compassion towards patients and their families while performing procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic results.
- Ensure patient comfort: Communicate clearly with patients to ease any fears or concerns and ensure their comfort during procedures.
- Maintain accurate records: Document and maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, and imaging results.
- Stay updated with industry advancements: Keep up-to-date with new technology, equipment, and techniques in diagnostic imaging and implement them as appropriate.
- Uphold professional standards: Follow ethical and professional standards of conduct, including confidentiality and respect for patients' rights and dignity.
- Participate in training and development: Attend training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge and stay updated with industry advancements.
- Promote a positive work environment: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by actively participating in team meetings and promoting open communication and teamwork.
Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Sciences Or Related Field: Candidates For This Position Should Possess A Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Sciences Or A Related Field Such As Radiology Technology Or Medical Imaging. This Educational Background Provides A Solid Foundation In The Principles Of Radiography And Prepares Individuals For Further Specialized Training.
American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) Certification: Adventhealth Requires Candidates For This Position To Hold Current Certification From The Arrt. This Certification Demonstrates That The Individual Has Met Nationally Recognized Standards For Knowledge And Skills In Radiologic Technology.
Advanced Certification In Ct, X-Ray, Or Mri: In Addition To The Arrt Certification, Candidates Should Also Hold Advanced Certification In The Specific Modality They Will Be Working In. For Example, A Candidate For A Ct Specialist Position Should Hold A Ct Certification From The Arrt.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience: Adventhealth Seeks Candidates With At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In The Specific Modality They Will Be Working In. This Experience Should Include Working With A Variety Of Patients And Equipment, As Well As Experience With Advanced Imaging Techniques.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Specialist In The Ct, X-Ray, Or Mri Department, Candidates Must Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills. They Will Be Working Closely With Patients And Other Healthcare Professionals, So The Ability To Communicate Effectively And Work Well In A Team Is Essential.
