1. Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures with accuracy and efficiency in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
2. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
3. Analyze and interpret test results, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and report abnormal findings to appropriate personnel.
4. Adhere to strict quality control and quality assurance guidelines to ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
5. Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, including proper disposal of hazardous materials and regular equipment maintenance.
6. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care and facilitate effective communication of laboratory results.
7. Stay up-to-date with current laboratory practices and techniques, and incorporate new developments into daily laboratory operations.
8. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risk of exposure to hazardous materials and maintain a safe working environment.
9. Participate in continuing education and training programs to maintain licensure and enhance professional development.
10. Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, and assist with inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
11. Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care and compassion in all interactions with patients and their families.
12. Contribute to the development and implementation of new laboratory policies, procedures, and protocols.
13. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all laboratory procedures and results, and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
14. Assist with inventory management, ordering and restocking of laboratory supplies, and ensure proper utilization and storage of materials.
15. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with accreditation and regulatory compliance procedures.
