1. Conduct audits of patient medical records to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
2. Identify and report any discrepancies or errors in medical documentation.
3. Collaborate with healthcare providers and other departments to resolve any issues found during audits.
4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical coding and billing regulations.
5. Communicate audit findings and provide recommendations for improvement to relevant parties.
6. Follow established protocols and procedures for handling sensitive patient information.
7. Maintain organized and detailed records of audit results.
8. Monitor and track completion of corrective actions identified during audits.
9. Train and educate healthcare staff on proper documentation practices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
