- Provide compassionate and dedicated care to patients in accordance with their individual needs and treatment plans.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse, and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, including infection control and proper disposal of medical waste.
- Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure patient safety and promote a positive patient experience.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.
- Attend and actively participate in training and educational programs to maintain and improve CNA skills and knowledge.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality care to patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback for the enhancement of patient care.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced and ever-changing healthcare environment.
- Comply with all AdventHealth policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of AdventHealth and act as an ambassador for the organization.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) At Adventhealth Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged To Ensure They Possess The Basic Education And Literacy Skills Required For The Job.
Completion Of A State-Approved Cna Program: Adventhealth Requires Cnas To Have Completed A State-Approved Program To Ensure They Have Received The Necessary Training And Education In Nursing Skills, Infection Control, Communication, And Other Essential Areas.
Current Cna Certification: Cnas At Adventhealth Must Hold A Current And Valid Cna Certification From The State In Which They Will Be Working. This Ensures That They Have Met The State's Requirements For Knowledge And Skills In Nursing Care.
Cpr Certification: Adventhealth Requires All Cnas To Have A Current Cpr Certification To Ensure They Are Prepared To Respond To Emergency Situations And Provide Life-Saving Measures If Needed.
Experience In A Healthcare Setting: While Not Always Required, Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Nursing Home, Can Be Beneficial For A Cna Position At Adventhealth. This Experience Demonstrates A Candidate's Understanding Of The Healthcare Field And Their Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And Demanding Environment.
