- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Take and record vital signs, medical history, and other relevant information from patients.
- Administer medications and assist with minor medical procedures under the supervision of a physician.
- Provide education and instructions to patients and their families regarding their care and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and accurately record results.

Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: A Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) At Adventhealth Should Have Completed An Accredited Program In Medical Assisting. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Received Proper Training In Clinical And Administrative Tasks.
Certification From A Recognized Agency: Adventhealth Requires Cmas To Hold A Valid Certification From A Recognized Agency Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha). This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Necessary Competency Standards.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Outpatient Care: A Cma At Adventhealth Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Outpatient Care, Including Working With Patients Of All Ages, Managing Appointments And Referrals, And Providing Basic Medical Treatments And Procedures.
