- Greet and welcome patients with a warm and friendly demeanor, creating a positive first impression of AdventHealth.
- Assist physicians and nurses in providing high-quality and compassionate patient care.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and equipment to ensure a clean and organized environment.
- Conduct patient intake procedures, including obtaining vital signs, medical history, and reason for visit.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by physicians.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.
- Assist with procedures and minor surgeries, providing support and comfort to patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including documentation of patient encounters and procedures performed.
- Educate patients on proper care and follow-up instructions for their medical conditions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and coordinated patient care.

- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.

Completion Of A Certified Medical Assistant Program: A Candidate For A Certified Medical Assistant Job At Adventhealth Should Have Completed A Recognized And Accredited Medical Assistant Program, Such As The One Offered By The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama).
Certification: Adventhealth Requires All Medical Assistants To Be Certified By An Accredited Organization, Such As The Aama Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt). This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Necessary Education And Training Requirements To Perform The Duties Of A Medical Assistant.
Clinical Experience: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Healthcare Setting. This Experience Should Cover A Variety Of Tasks, Such As Taking Vital Signs, Administering Medication, And Assisting With Medical Procedures.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures: A Successful Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Procedures, As Well As The Ability To Accurately Document Patient Information. This Knowledge Is Essential For Providing High-Quality Patient Care And Ensuring Accurate Communication With Other Healthcare Professionals.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Certified Medical Assistant At Adventhealth Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
