Job Description

AdventHealth is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Billing Follow Up Associate to join our dynamic team. As a Billing Follow Up Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for our patients. With your exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, you will be responsible for following up on outstanding balances, resolving billing inquiries, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients and insurance providers.   1. Follow up on outstanding balances: The Billing Follow Up Associate will be responsible for reviewing and following up on any outstanding balances for patients, insurance providers, or other third-party payers.
  2. Resolve billing inquiries: The Associate will handle all inquiries related to billing, including discrepancies, errors, and clarifications. They will work closely with the billing team to resolve any issues promptly and accurately.
  3. Provide exceptional customer service: The Associate will act as the main point of contact for patients and insurance providers, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns or questions they may have about their billing.
  4. Ensure accurate and timely billing: The Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all billing is accurate and submitted in a timely manner, following all required protocols and regulations.
  5. Maintain records and documentation: The Associate will maintain detailed and organized records of all billing activities, including payments received, denials, and appeals.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Understanding Of Medical Billing And Coding: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Knowledge Of Medical Billing Processes, Including Coding Systems, Insurance Procedures, And Reimbursement Guidelines.

  • Proficient In Computer Systems And Software: The Billing Follow Up Associate Should Be Comfortable Using Various Computer Programs And Electronic Health Record Systems To Process And Track Billing Information.

  • Attention To Detail: The Job Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail To Ensure Accurate And Timely Billing. The Candidate Should Have The Ability To Review And Analyze Data To Identify And Resolve Discrepancies.

  • Communication And Customer Service Skills: Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, Are Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Insurance Companies, And Healthcare Providers To Resolve Billing Issues In A Professional And Courteous Manner.
