
Associate Chaplain

- Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, their families, and hospital team members.
- Serve as a spiritual guide and counselor to those in need, regardless of religious affiliation.
- Promote healing and well-being through prayer, meditation, and other spiritual practices.
- Conduct religious services and rituals for patients, their families, and hospital staff.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to address the spiritual needs of patients.
- Act as a liaison between patients and their faith communities.
- Offer pastoral care, comfort, and guidance to individuals and families facing difficult medical situations.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards in all interactions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with other chaplains, clergy, and community organizations.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance spiritual care skills.
- Serve as a role model for compassionate and empathetic care within the hospital.
- Support and adhere to the mission, vision, and values of AdventHealth.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
- Maintain records and documentation of spiritual care services provided.
- Demonstrate a commitment to personal and spiritual growth.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care plans.
- Comply with all hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Be available for on-call duties and respond to emergency situations as needed.
- Act as an ambassador for AdventHealth and represent the organization with integrity and professionalism.
Master's Degree In Divinity Or Theology From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Pastoral Or Chaplaincy Role.
Ordained Or Licensed As A Minister In A Recognized Faith Tradition.
Demonstrated Ability To Provide Spiritual Care And Support To Patients, Families, And Staff Members.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With A Compassionate And Empathetic Approach.
