As an Associate Chaplain, you will have the opportunity to provide spiritual and emotional support to our patients, their families, and our team members.   1. Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, their families, and hospital team members.
  2. Serve as a spiritual guide and counselor to those in need, regardless of religious affiliation.
  3. Promote healing and well-being through prayer, meditation, and other spiritual practices.
  4. Conduct religious services and rituals for patients, their families, and hospital staff.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare providers to address the spiritual needs of patients.
  6. Act as a liaison between patients and their faith communities.
  7. Offer pastoral care, comfort, and guidance to individuals and families facing difficult medical situations.
  8. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards in all interactions.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with other chaplains, clergy, and community organizations.
  10. Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance spiritual care skills.
  11. Serve as a role model for compassionate and empathetic care within the hospital.
  12. Support and adhere to the mission, vision, and values of AdventHealth.
  13. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  14. Maintain records and documentation of spiritual care services provided.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to personal and spiritual growth.
  16. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care plans.
  17. Comply with all hospital policies and procedures.
  18. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  19. Be available for on-call duties and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  20. Act as an ambassador for AdventHealth and represent the organization with integrity and professionalism.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Divinity Or Theology From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Pastoral Or Chaplaincy Role.

  • Ordained Or Licensed As A Minister In A Recognized Faith Tradition.

  • Demonstrated Ability To Provide Spiritual Care And Support To Patients, Families, And Staff Members.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With A Compassionate And Empathetic Approach.
