ASIC Design Engineer
The focus of this role is to create a UVM testbench for the verification of AMD’s graphics processor’s control subsystem, resulting in no bugs in the final design. Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers, and firmware engineers to understand the front end control subsystem, and the blocks and features that will be verified. Estimate the time required to complete the creation of the verification environment and tests. Create the UVM based subsystem testbench and tests to match real-world use case scenarios. Debug test failures to determine the root cause; work with RTL and firmware engineers to resolve design defects and correct any test issues. Review functional and code coverage metrics; modify or add tests or constrain random tests to meet the coverage requirements. Identify and implement opportunities for improving AMD’s ASIC verification methodology.
