  1. Develop and implement visually stunning lighting designs for game environments, characters, and objects.
  2. Collaborate with art directors, level designers, and other team members to establish and maintain a cohesive visual style and atmosphere for the game.
  3. Use industry-standard tools and techniques to create dynamic and immersive lighting that enhances gameplay and storytelling.
  4. Optimize lighting and shadowing to ensure optimal performance on various gaming platforms.
  5. Stay up to date with current lighting trends and techniques in the gaming industry, and apply them to enhance the overall quality of the game.
  6. Troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to lighting in collaboration with other team members.
  7. Mentor and provide guidance to junior lighting artists, helping them improve their skills and techniques.
  8. Work with the art director and other team members to develop and maintain a consistent visual style and quality throughout the game.
  9. Collaborate with the graphics team to ensure that lighting and shaders work together seamlessly.
  10. Attend and contribute to team meetings, providing insight, feedback, and ideas for improving the visual quality of the game.
  11. Manage and prioritize tasks to ensure timely delivery of high-quality lighting assets.
  12. Continuously strive for excellence and push the boundaries of what is possible with lighting in video games.
  13. Work closely with other departments, such as level design and gameplay, to ensure that lighting enhances the overall player experience.
  14. Conduct research and experimentation with new tools and techniques to improve the lighting workflow and quality.
  15. Represent the company and its values in a professional and positive manner, both internally and externally.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Lighting And Rendering Techniques: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Various Lighting And Rendering Techniques, Including Global Illumination, Pre-Baked Lighting, And Real-Time Lighting.

  • Proficiency In Industry-Standard Software: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Command Over Industry-Standard Software Such As Maya, 3Ds Max, V-Ray, And Unreal Engine. This Will Enable Them To Create Visually Stunning And Immersive Lighting For Games.

  • Strong Artistic And Technical Skills: A Senior Lighting Artist Should Have A Strong Eye For Detail, Color Theory, And Composition, Along With Technical Skills To Troubleshoot And Problem-Solve Any Issues That May Arise During The Lighting Process.

  • Previous Experience In Game Development: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Game Development, With A Focus On Lighting And Rendering. They Should Be Well-Versed In Game Development Pipelines And Have A Good Understanding Of How Lighting Impacts Gameplay.

  • Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Team, The Candidate Should Have Excellent Leadership Skills To Guide And Mentor Junior Artists. They Should Also Possess Strong Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Other Team Members And Communicate Their Ideas To The Rest Of The Team.
