Mechanical/ Electrical Design Engineer

In this position, you will be responsible to develop and implement design solutions for circuit breakers and circuit interruption technologies as member of a global design team. Understands the key business drivers for ABB in order to make judgments and contribute to results. Collaborates with product management and R&D leaders in developing and delivering the product roadmap. Actively follows the scientific discussions in own competence area and contributes independently. Lead product requirements definition, including driving new products through the gate process. Investigate current and future technologies for application to products across the business unit. As a solid R&D project member and contributor, with experience as project or sub-project leader, ensures alignment with assigned targets (time, cost, quality) and independently coordinates activities. Provides consulting services to business operations and customers.
