  1. Provide technical support and services to clients in various industries.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and concerns from clients.
  3. Conduct on-site installations, maintenance, and repairs of industrial technology and automation equipment.
  4. Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends to effectively assist clients.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective resolutions for clients.
  6. Travel to different client sites as required, both domestically and internationally.
  7. Maintain accurate records of service visits, including work performed and parts used.
  8. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  9. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in service delivery.
  11. Provide timely and detailed reports to management on service activities.
  12. Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  13. Attend training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  14. Maintain and manage equipment and tools provided by the company.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge Of Electrical And Mechanical Systems: A Field Service Technician At Abb Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Electrical And Mechanical Systems, Including Knowledge Of Troubleshooting, Repair, And Maintenance Techniques.

  • Experience With Abb Products: Familiarity With Abb's Range Of Products, Including Motors, Drives, And Control Systems, Is Highly Desirable For A Field Service Technician Position. This Includes Knowledge Of Installation, Commissioning, And Servicing Procedures.

  • Technical Degree Or Certification: Abb Often Requires Candidates For A Field Service Technician Role To Have A Technical Degree Or Certification In A Relevant Field, Such As Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Or Industrial Maintenance. This Demonstrates A Solid Foundation Of Technical Knowledge And Skills.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Field Service Technician, One Will Be Required To Interact With Clients And Colleagues On A Daily Basis. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building And Maintaining Positive Relationships With Customers And Team Members.

  • Prior Field Service Experience: Previous Experience In A Field Service Role, Preferably In The Industrial Automation Or Power Sector, Is Highly Valued By Abb. This Demonstrates The Ability To Work Independently, Handle On-Site Challenges, And Provide Excellent Customer Service.
