Job Description

Innovation, assessing requirements that are said and unsaid, performing proof of concept, developing solution and code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders. Leads the work of groups of engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects by proving pertinent documents, direction, and examples. Mentor engineering team members on technical decision making, code reviews and enforcing engineering practices and standards. Identifying short- and long-term solutions and timeline; reviewing and providing feedback for proposed solutions; and performing design and code reviews of changes. Actively engages in product and business discussions with a technical eye for feasibility and adherence/defining overall roadmaps and architectural strategy.  Focus on improving current software development practices and standards. Research new technologies to support 7-Eleven’s digital transformation vision.

Job Qualifications

  • 10-12 years, System Design Skills and Experience in large scale enterprise application.

  • Solid understanding of Enterprise architecture, microservices and event driven architecture

  • Experience building systems to handle large volume of transactions at scale

  • Experience in retail domain is a plus.
