Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team and help us maintain our stores in top-notch condition. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our stores are clean, safe, and fully operational for our valued customers. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and has a strong work ethic.   1. Perform regular maintenance checks and repairs on all store equipment, including but not limited to refrigeration units, gas pumps, and HVAC systems.
  2. Respond promptly to any maintenance requests or emergencies to minimize downtime and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for customers and employees.
  3. Conduct routine inspections of the store premises to identify and address any potential safety hazards or code violations.
  4. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, including repairs and equipment replacements.
  5. Collaborate with store managers and other team members to establish and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule that minimizes disruptions to daily operations.
  6. Communicate effectively with vendors and contractors to coordinate repairs and installations as needed.
  7. Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment to ensure availability and cost-effectiveness.
  8. Train and mentor new maintenance team members to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  9. Stay informed about current industry trends and best practices in maintenance to continuously improve processes and procedures.
  10. Uphold company standards and policies, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials, to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

  • Knowledge Of Basic Maintenance And Repair Techniques: A Maintenance Technician At 7-Eleven Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Basic Maintenance And Repair Techniques, Such As Plumbing, Electrical, And Hvac Systems. This Knowledge Is Essential For Completing Regular Maintenance Tasks And Addressing Any Issues That May Arise.

  • Experience With Convenience Store Equipment: 7-Eleven Stores Are Equipped With Various Types Of Equipment, Such As Refrigeration Units, Coffee Machines, And Gas Pumps. A Maintenance Technician Should Have Experience Working With These Types Of Equipment To Ensure They Are Properly Maintained And Functioning Correctly.

  • Strong Troubleshooting Skills: Being Able To Identify And Troubleshoot Problems Is A Crucial Skill For A Maintenance Technician. They Must Be Able To Quickly Diagnose Issues And Come Up With Effective Solutions To Ensure Minimal Disruption To The Store's Operations.

  • Attention To Detail: Maintaining A Clean And Organized Store Environment Is Essential For 7-Eleven's Customer Service Standards. A Maintenance Technician Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure All Maintenance Tasks Are Completed Thoroughly And To A High Standard.

  • Ability To Work Independently: While A Maintenance Technician May Work With A Team At Times, They Should Also Be Able To Work Independently And Manage Their Time Effectively. This Role Often Requires Them To Complete Tasks During Non-Business Hours, So The Ability To Work Autonomously Is Essential.
