- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers, serving as the primary point of contact for all quality-related issues
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with 3M's quality standards and requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed
- Monitor supplier performance through data analysis and metrics tracking, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and driving continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in supplier quality management, incorporating new strategies and techniques into our processes
- Lead supplier qualification and selection processes, working closely with procurement and engineering teams to ensure suppliers meet our quality and technical requirements
- Communicate quality expectations and requirements to suppliers, providing guidance and support to help them meet our standards
- Participate in new product development projects, working closely with suppliers to ensure timely and successful product launches
- Train and mentor junior quality engineers and other team members on supplier quality processes and expectations
- Represent 3M in supplier meetings and negotiations, advocating for quality and driving accountability for supplier performance.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Internal And External Stakeholders.
Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Supplier Quality Management, Preferably In A Manufacturing Environment.
Strong Understanding Of Quality Systems And Processes, Such As Iso 9001 And Six Sigma.
Experience In Conducting Supplier Audits And Managing Supplier Corrective Actions.
