
Software Legal Analyst
The person hired for the position of Legal Services Analyst will work directly with the sales and marketing teams to draft, negotiate and finalize software license agreements. Assisting the Sales Organization in setting realistic expectations with customers. Drafts contract language to address business needs while protecting 3M and minimizing risk. Plan and conduct contract negotiations. Works with management to revise contract language to reflect the business strategy. Understands the impact of various changes in contractual language. Develops and maintains a general understanding of 3M products, strategies and markets. Works with customers and internal business and operations matrix to reach resolutions to complex issues.
Experience negotiating contracts
Exercise extremely high level of professionalism and civility in the face of opposing views and various personalities
Understanding of 3M and its software and service products
Clear understanding of basic HIPAA and HITECH Act requirements for business associates
Four (4) years of experience in business, licensing, technical and/or legal contracting
