- Receive and inspect incoming materials and products, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Accurately record and maintain inventory levels and locations using inventory management systems.
- Organize and store materials in designated areas, utilizing appropriate storage methods and equipment.
- Retrieve and distribute materials to designated areas or departments as needed.
- Assist with loading and unloading of materials from trucks or other transportation vehicles.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Monitor and report any inventory discrepancies or damages to supervisor.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
- Continuously look for ways to improve processes and increase productivity.
- Communicate effectively with other departments and team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, quality control standards and safety regulations.
- Attend training and development sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Experience In Warehouse Operations: A Material Handler At 3M Should Have Prior Experience In Warehouse Operations, Including Receiving, Storing, And Issuing Materials. This Includes Knowledge Of Inventory Management Practices And The Ability To Operate Material Handling Equipment.
Physical Fitness And Strength: The Role Of A Material Handler At 3M Involves Lifting And Moving Heavy Materials, Often In A Fast-Paced Environment. Candidates Should Possess Physical Fitness And Strength To Perform These Tasks Safely And Efficiently.
Attention To Detail: As A Material Handler, One Must Be Able To Accurately Record And Track Inventory Movement. Attention To Detail Is Crucial To Ensure That The Correct Materials Are Received, Stored, And Distributed To The Designated Locations.
