- Develop and implement governance, compliance, and contract management strategies and policies in alignment with 3M's mission and values.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to all applicable regulations, laws, and contracts at the local, national, and global levels.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all governance, compliance, and contract-related inquiries and provide guidance and support to internal teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement training programs to promote a culture of compliance and ethical business practices.
- Review and negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and business partners to ensure compliance with 3M's policies and procedures.
- Proactively identify and address potential compliance risks and implement measures to mitigate them.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure 3M's continued compliance and adapt policies and procedures accordingly.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
- Participate in internal and external audits and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for compliance purposes.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the status of governance, compliance, and contract management initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability and responsibility for compliance across all levels of the organization.
Knowledge Of Governance, Compliance & Contract Regulations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Laws And Regulations Related To Governance, Compliance, And Contract Management, Including But Not Limited To Sox, Hipaa, And Gdpr.
Experience In Contract Management: The Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Contract Management, Preferably In A Large Multinational Company. This Includes Drafting, Reviewing, And Negotiating Contracts, As Well As Managing Contract Renewals And Amendments.
Strong Leadership Skills: As A Governance, Compliance & Contract Leader, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team And Driving Results. Therefore, Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Motivate And Guide Team Members, Are Essential.
Attention To Detail: The Role Of A Governance, Compliance & Contract Leader Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail To Ensure Compliance With Regulations And Mitigate Potential Risks. The Candidate Should Have A Track Record Of Being Detail-Oriented And Thorough In Their Work.
