This role will provide legal counsel and guidance on a wide variety of privacy legal and healthcare privacy law matters which arise from the operation of a large, complex, geographically dispersed and technology-driven organization. Provide legal advice and guidance on U.S. privacy regulatory compliance topics to 3M’s senior leaders, managers and other internal colleagues and clients for the United States and Canada to confirm that current and proposed activities, policies, business practices and transactions comply with relevant data privacy laws and regulations. Ensure the company’s compliance with applicable state and federal privacy and data protection laws, regulations and privacy governance frameworks such as the NIST privacy framework. Lead 3M’s U.S. and Canada privacy legal compliance initiatives.
