  1. Provide expert medical guidance and support to employees regarding occupational health and safety.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures related to occupational health and safety in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  3. Conduct medical evaluations and assessments for employees, including pre-employment screenings and periodic health check-ups.
  4. Collaborate with other departments and leaders to identify and address potential occupational health hazards in the workplace.
  5. Develop and deliver training programs and resources to educate employees on occupational health and safety best practices.
  6. Stay informed and up-to-date on industry trends and developments in occupational medicine to ensure the company's practices are in line with current standards.
  7. Oversee and manage the Occupational Medicine department, including staff and budget management.
  8. Monitor and analyze occupational health data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance employee health and safety.
  9. Serve as a liaison between the company and external medical professionals, including workers' compensation providers and occupational health specialists.
  10. Conduct research and provide recommendations for new equipment, technology, and resources to improve the effectiveness of the Occupational Medicine department.
  11. Provide timely and accurate medical documentation and reports as needed.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all ethical and legal standards in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  13. Mentor and support other medical staff in the Occupational Medicine department.
  14. Serve as a role model for professional behavior and actively promote a positive and safe work environment.
  15. Represent the company in professional organizations and conferences, sharing knowledge and best practices with other medical professionals in the field of occupational medicine.

  • Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Possess A Medical Degree From A Reputable And Accredited Institution. This Will Ensure That They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Fulfill The Responsibilities Of A Corporate Occupational Medicine Lead Physician.

  • Board Certification In Occupational Medicine: 3M Is Looking For A Candidate Who Is Board Certified In Occupational Medicine. This Certification Demonstrates A High Level Of Proficiency And Expertise In The Field, And Is A Requirement For This Role.

  • Previous Experience In Corporate Occupational Medicine: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Corporate Occupational Medicine. This Includes Managing Employee Health Programs, Conducting Medical Assessments, And Developing And Implementing Occupational Health Policies.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Corporate Occupational Medicine Lead Physician, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Healthcare Professionals And Collaborating With Various Departments Within 3M. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role.
