Job Description

Reviewing, analyzing and editing contract language to address business needs while protecting 3M and minimizing risk. Providing counsel to business teams on various contracting methodologies and strategies. Consult with others regarding 3M business practices and policies as they relate to contracting. Preparing for, and facilitating, contract negotiations. Understanding and utilizing systems and data to support business objectives and to fulfill contract requirements. Ensuring contracts can be operationalized within corporate parameters. Working with management and legal department to revise contract language to reflect business objectives. Understanding the impact of various changes in contractual language. Initiating contract implementation. Working collaboratively and effectively with a highly matrixed team to meet compressed timelines.

Job Qualifications

  • Five (5) combined years experience in business, technical, and/or legal contracting

  • Experience or knowledge of the healthcare industry in the United States

  • Basic understanding of contract law

  • Ability to analyze situations and find viable alternatives

  • Ability to clearly express and articulate complex legal and technical issues
