Bachelor's Degree In Law Or A Related Field: A Compliance Counsel At 3M Must Have A Strong Foundation In Legal Principles And Be Able To Apply Them In A Corporate Setting.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Compliance Or Regulatory Affairs: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In A Compliance Role, Preferably In A Similar Industry, To Understand The Complexities And Nuances Of Compliance Within A Multinational Corporation.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Relevant Laws And Regulations: The Compliance Counsel Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Relevant Laws And Regulations, Including But Not Limited To, Anti-Corruption, Data Privacy, And Trade Compliance.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Role Of A Compliance Counsel Requires Collaborating With Various Departments And Stakeholders Within The Company. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial To Effectively Advise And Guide Employees On Compliance Matters.
