  1. Ensure 3M's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  2. Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
  3. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues.
  4. Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance matters.
  5. Monitor and update the company on any changes to relevant laws and regulations.
  6. Investigate and respond to any compliance concerns or violations.

  12. Represent the company in regulatory and legal proceedings related to compliance matters.
  13. Contribute to the development and maintenance of a strong ethical culture within the company.
  14. Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of the company's compliance program.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Law Or A Related Field: A Compliance Counsel At 3M Must Have A Strong Foundation In Legal Principles And Be Able To Apply Them In A Corporate Setting.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Compliance Or Regulatory Affairs: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In A Compliance Role, Preferably In A Similar Industry, To Understand The Complexities And Nuances Of Compliance Within A Multinational Corporation.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Relevant Laws And Regulations: The Compliance Counsel Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Relevant Laws And Regulations, Including But Not Limited To, Anti-Corruption, Data Privacy, And Trade Compliance.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Role Of A Compliance Counsel Requires Collaborating With Various Departments And Stakeholders Within The Company. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial To Effectively Advise And Guide Employees On Compliance Matters.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: Compliance Counsel Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Legal Issues, Identify Potential Risks, And Develop Practical Solutions To Mitigate Them. Strong Analytical Skills And Attention To Detail Are Essential For This Role.
