Job Description

As a Clinical Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Mapping clinical text to terminologies in the 3M Healthcare Data Dictionary (HDD), a terminology server containing a reference terminology integrated from standard and legacy clinical vocabularies. Providing HDD content support to 3M HIS end user products applying Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Natural Language Understanding (NLU) in a clinical setting. Identifying relevant clinical data from electronic health record (EHR) documents. Supporting informatics and technical requirements for continuous improvement to the design and content of the HDD, and participating in the construction and maintenance of the HDD software, content and distribution. Educating and coordinating HDD use with other 3M HIS departments.

Job Qualifications

  • Certified RHIT/RHIA and/or BSN/RN

  • 5 years of clinical practice/experience

  • Experience working with clinical terminology standards (e.g. SNOMED CT, LOINC and RxNorm)

  • Master's degree in biomedical or nursing informatics preferred
