- Develop and implement revenue recognition policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP and company standards.
- Monitor and review revenue transactions to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, legal, and finance, to ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenue.
- Review and approve customer contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition.
- Analyze and interpret complex revenue agreements to determine appropriate accounting treatment.
- Prepare and review revenue-related journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes related to revenue recognition.
- Identify and resolve revenue-related discrepancies and issues.
- Stay current on accounting standards and regulations related to revenue recognition.
- Train and mentor team members on revenue recognition principles and processes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and departments.
- Assist with external audits related to revenue recognition.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to improve revenue recognition processes and systems.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all internal controls related to revenue recognition.
- Proactively identify and communicate potential risks or issues related to revenue recognition.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the accounting operations function.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality standards and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Lead and manage a team of revenue recognition specialists.
- Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Revenue Recognition, Preferably In A Software Or Technology Company.
Strong Knowledge Of Asc 606 And Other Relevant Accounting Standards.
Experience Managing A Team And Overseeing Day-To-Day Accounting Operations.
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Resolve Complex Revenue Recognition Issues.
