  1. Develop and drive the outbound product strategy for Zendesk, in alignment with overall company goals and objectives.
  2. Lead a team of outbound product managers to define and execute product roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
  3. Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs and market trends, and use this information to inform product strategy.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success to prioritize and deliver on product initiatives.
  5. Utilize data and metrics to track product performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions to enhance product offerings.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  7. Own the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, and continuously evaluate and improve products post-launch.
  8. Use strong leadership skills to motivate and mentor team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and development.
  9. Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure product success and alignment with business objectives.
  10. Communicate product vision and updates to senior management and other key stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress and results.
  11. Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies and ensure successful product launches.
  12. Act as a subject matter expert for outbound product management, providing guidance and support to other teams and sharing best practices across the organization.
  13. Represent Zendesk at industry events and conferences, showcasing our products and thought leadership to potential customers and partners.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the outbound product management team.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Product Management Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 8-10 Years Of Experience In Product Management, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Launching And Managing Outbound Products. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Product Development Processes And Have Demonstrated The Ability To Drive Product Strategy And Roadmap.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Principal Outbound Product Manager, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Outbound Product Managers And Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams. They Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Manage And Motivate Their Team. They Should Also Be Able To Influence And Collaborate With Stakeholders At All Levels Of The Organization.

  • Technical Expertise: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Technical Background And Be Able To Understand And Communicate Complex Technical Concepts To Both Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders. They Should Have Experience Working With Agile Development Methodologies And Be Familiar With Product Management Tools And Processes.

  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Zendesk Is Known For Its Customer-Centric Approach, And The Principal Outbound Product Manager Should Embody This Mindset. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Customer Needs And Be Able To Translate Them Into Product Features And Enhancements. Experience With Customer Research And Gathering Feedback To Inform Product Decisions Is Also Essential.

  • Strategic Thinking: The Principal Outbound Product Manager Will Play A Critical Role In Setting The Overall Product Vision And Strategy For Outbound Products At Zendesk. They Should Have A Strong Business Acumen And Be Able To Think Strategically About Market Trends, Competitive Landscape, And Customer Needs To Drive Product Innovation And Growth. Experience With Product Positioning, Pricing, And Go-To-Market Strategy Is Also Highly Valued.
