As a Co-Op Scientist on one of our engineering teams, you will work 15-20 hours per week, collaborating closely with local and global team members to build solutions to detect and mitigate fraud for Zendesk. Collaborate with Abuse Prevention and ML team to build machine-learning-based solutions, and scale to protect millions of users a day. Solve meaningful and challenging problems with recent ML techniques including neural networks in Tensorflow. Write and deploy production-grade code and learn how to design for scale. Protect millions of users a day! Collaborate with hardworking, intelligent, and humble colleagues around the globe. Present your work to a multi-disciplinary, global audience. Work in an agile development environment where pragmatism triumphs over dogmatism. Participate in activities and volunteer with other interns.
Currently enrolled in a university program or boot camp for Computer Science or a directly related field of study
Experience with deep learning and/or NLP a bonus
Willingness to work part-time (15-20 hours per week) for 9 months during the school year with possible full-time extension
