  1. Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives for various categories at Yale University.
  2. Manage key categories, including but not limited to, IT, facilities, and professional services.
  3. Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts.
  4. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to understand their needs and align procurement strategies with overall university objectives.
  5. Monitor and report on supplier performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in procurement to continuously improve processes and procedures.
  7. Lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute sourcing strategies, ensuring timely and successful outcomes.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, managing contracts and resolving any issues that may arise.
  9. Ensure compliance with university policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all sourcing activities.
  10. Mentor and train junior procurement staff to support their professional development and ensure continuity in procurement processes.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Or Supply Chain Management.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Sourcing And Procurement Processes And Best Practices.

  • Excellent Negotiation And Vendor Management Skills.

  • Experience In Managing And Developing Category Strategies And Driving Cost Savings Initiatives.
