- Teach and educate students with special needs or in core content areas.
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Collaborate with a team of professionals to create a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
- Utilize various teaching methods and strategies to engage and support students' learning.
- Develop and modify instructional materials to meet the needs of individual students.
- Evaluate and assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and IEPs.
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and colleagues to discuss student progress and needs.
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Stay current with research and best practices in special education or core content areas.
- Build positive relationships with students and create a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Collaborate with community resources and agencies to support students' academic and personal growth.
- Adhere to all school policies and procedures.
- Support and promote diversity and inclusion within the school community.
- Act as an advocate for students and their educational needs.
A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Special Education Or The Subject Area Of The Core Content Being Taught.
At Least 3 Years Of Experience Teaching Students With Disabilities Or In The Subject Area At The University Level.
Possession Of A Valid Teaching License Or Certification In Special Education Or The Core Content Area.
Strong Understanding Of The Individuals With Disabilities Education Act (Idea) And Other Relevant Laws And Policies Related To Special Education.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, As Well As A Commitment To Inclusive And Differentiated Teaching Practices.
