Master's Degree In Genetic Counseling: A Minimum Requirement For This Position Is A Master's Degree In Genetic Counseling From An Accredited Program. This Demonstrates The Necessary Knowledge And Training In The Field Of Genetics And Counseling.
Certification By The American Board Of Genetic Counseling (Abgc): Candidates Should Hold A Current Certification From The Abgc, Which Is Recognized As The Standard For Professional Competence In The Field Of Genetic Counseling.
Experience In Clinical Genetics: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Genetics Setting. This Will Ensure They Have The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Provide Genetic Counseling To Patients.
