  1. Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate department or individual.
  3. Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar for the clinical department.
  4. Collect and enter patient information accurately and efficiently into the electronic medical records system.
  5. Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for patient visits.
  6. Assist patients with completing necessary paperwork and forms.
  7. Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area.
  8. Communicate with clinical staff regarding patient arrivals, cancellations, and other important information.
  9. Handle patient inquiries and requests in a timely and courteous manner.
  10. Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations within the clinical department.
  11. Follow all confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines when handling sensitive patient information.
  12. Stay updated on clinic policies and procedures to provide accurate information to patients and visitors.
  13. Assist with any other administrative tasks or projects as assigned by the supervisor.
  14. Strive to provide excellent customer service to all patients and visitors.
  15. Attend training and development sessions to improve skills and knowledge related to the position.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: The Candidate Must Have Completed High School Or Obtained A Ged To Be Eligible For The Position.

  • Previous Experience In A Medical Or Healthcare Setting: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Clinical Receptionist Or In A Similar Role Is Required. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Candidate Must Possess Strong Communication Skills To Interact With Patients, Doctors, And Other Staff Members Effectively. They Must Also Be Able To Handle Difficult Situations With Tact And Diplomacy.

  • Proficiency In Computer Systems And Software: The Candidate Should Be Comfortable Using Various Computer Systems And Software, Such As Electronic Medical Records And Scheduling Software.

  • Strong Organizational And Multitasking Abilities: The Candidate Should Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously, Such As Answering Phone Calls, Scheduling Appointments, And Updating Patient Records. They Should Also Have Excellent Organizational Skills To Maintain A Well-Organized Reception Area.
