Scrub Technician

At Willis-Knighton Health System, we are searching for a Scrub Technician who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of patients. The ideal candidate should have excellent technical skills and be committed to providing exceptional patient care.The Scrub Technician will provide assistance to surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses in the operating room. This includes preparing and arranging instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications: a high school diploma, or equivalent; at least one year of experience as a scrub technician; and knowledge of medical terminology. Previous experience in the operating room is preferred. The successful candidate must be able to maintain a professional attitude and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses in the operating room by preparing and arranging instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures
2. Maintain a professional attitude and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
3. Communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team
4. Ensure that all instruments and equipment are sterile and in working order
5. Maintain a clean and organized operating room
6. Follow infection control protocols
7. Follow safety protocols at all times
8. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations
9. Support the patient before, during, and after the procedure
10. Document all patient care activities accurately and promptly
