Reimbursement Specialist

Knowledge of healthcare billing and coding regulations, along with prior experience in claims auditing, would be a distinct advantage.The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be adept at multitasking, and have a positive attitude. Above all, they must be highly reliable, organized, and committed to ensuring the accuracy of reimbursement data in accordance with Willis-Knighton Health System's policies.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage complex reimbursement processes to ensure accuracy of data.
2. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare billing and coding regulations.
3. Track and monitor claims to ensure timely reimbursement from insurance companies.
4. Develop and implement effective strategies to optimize reimbursement rates.
5. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Willis-Knighton Health System's policies and procedures.
6. Perform audits of claims data to ensure accuracy of reimbursement information.
7. Communicate effectively with other staff members, insurance companies, and patients.
8. Resolve complex reimbursement issues in a timely manner.
9. Utilize problem-solving skills to identify and address discrepancies in claims data.
10. Remain current on changes in healthcare reimbursement regulations and procedures.
