1. Receive and inspect all incoming deliveries of products, ensuring that they meet our quality standards and match the corresponding purchase orders.
2. Maintain accurate and organized records of all incoming and outgoing products, including tracking inventory levels and ensuring proper labeling and storage.
3. Communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and other team members to resolve any discrepancies or issues with deliveries.
4. Collaborate with other store departments to ensure timely and efficient restocking of products on the sales floor.
5. Monitor and report any damaged or expired products, and work with the appropriate departments to ensure proper disposal or return to the vendor.
6. Communicate with management regarding any product shortages or overstock situations, and assist in developing solutions to mitigate these issues.
7. Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, adhering to all safety and sanitation standards.
8. Assist in conducting regular inventory audits to ensure accurate stock levels and identify any discrepancies.
9. Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, answering any questions or concerns they may have.
10. Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and industry trends in natural and organic foods to better assist customers and ensure high-quality products are received.
11. Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, sanitation, and ethical practices.
12. Collaborate with the Store Manager and other team members to continuously improve processes and procedures related to receiving and stocking products.
13. Train and mentor new team members on receiving procedures and protocols.
14. Adhere to budget and cost-control measures to ensure the efficient operation of the receiving department.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
