  1. Develop and implement a strategic equipment purchasing plan in alignment with the company's sustainability goals and budget.
  2. Research and evaluate potential equipment suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure the best quality products at the most competitive prices.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand equipment needs and specifications for various store and distribution center locations.
  4. Manage the entire purchasing process, from identifying equipment needs to placing orders and ensuring timely delivery.
  5. Maintain accurate records of equipment purchases, contracts, and vendor relationships.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in equipment technology to inform purchasing decisions.
  7. Monitor and analyze equipment usage and performance data to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with equipment vendors to ensure timely delivery, resolve any issues, and negotiate favorable terms.
  9. Implement and maintain sustainable packaging practices and ensure all equipment purchases align with the company's environmental goals.
  10. Train and mentor junior equipment buyers to ensure a strong and capable team.
  11. Communicate regularly with other departments, such as operations, finance, and sustainability, to ensure alignment and collaboration on equipment purchasing initiatives.
  12. Represent the company at industry events and conferences to build relationships with potential vendors and stay updated on the latest equipment trends and advancements.
  13. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, when making equipment purchases.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve the equipment purchasing process to drive efficiency and cost savings for the company.
  15. Embody the company's values and promote a positive and inclusive work culture.
