We are currently seeking a skilled and organized individual to join our team as a Produce Order Writer (Buyer / Inventory Replenishment). As the Produce Order Writer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our stores are stocked with the freshest and most diverse selection of produce. If you have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for sustainable and ethical food sourcing, then we want to hear from you! This role requires someone who is able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and has a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.

  1. Develop and maintain relationships with produce suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality, natural and organic products for our stores.
  2. Monitor produce inventory levels and make timely and accurate purchasing decisions to replenish stock.
  3. Create and maintain accurate order guides and ensure that all orders are placed in a timely manner.
  4. Collaborate with store managers and other departments to identify and address any issues or concerns related to produce inventory.
  5. Conduct regular market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and availability of new produce products.
  6. Work closely with the marketing team to promote and advertise produce products to customers.
  7. Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to ensure the best possible deals for the company.
  8. Monitor and track sales data to make informed purchasing decisions and optimize inventory levels.
  9. Utilize inventory management software to track and manage produce inventory.
  10. Maintain accurate and organized records of purchase orders, invoices, and other relevant documentation.
  11. Train and guide other team members on best practices for ordering and managing produce inventory.
  12. Monitor and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards for all produce products.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve the ordering and inventory management processes.
  14. Communicate effectively with store managers and other team members to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  15. Stay updated on current market conditions and trends in produce industry to make informed purchasing decisions.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Whole Foods Market Is A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Work Environment. A Produce Order Writer Should Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks And Make Quick Decisions While Maintaining A High Level Of Accuracy And Efficiency.
