1. Maintain a deep understanding of Whole Foods Market's mission, values, and standards to ensure that all actions align with company goals.
2. Lead and supervise a team of Prepared Foods Associates, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
3. Train and develop team members on food safety, preparation techniques, and customer service best practices.
4. Create and implement systems to ensure the highest quality and consistency of all prepared foods.
5. Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ordering and restocking products as needed.
6. Collaborate with other department leaders to ensure cross-functional teamwork and efficient store operations.
7. Oversee the daily operations of the Prepared Foods department, including opening and closing procedures, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
8. Work closely with the Store Team Leader and Regional Prepared Foods Coordinator to develop and implement strategies to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction.
9. Build and maintain relationships with local vendors to ensure the availability of high-quality, natural and organic products for our customers.
10. Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and resolving any issues that may arise.
11. Ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met and maintained, including proper handling and storage of all products.
12. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new products, and make recommendations for new offerings to attract and retain customers.
13. Conduct regular department meetings to communicate updates, goals, and expectations to the team.
14. Uphold and promote a positive and inclusive work environment, fostering a culture of respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by store leadership.
